I'd say both tracks on that second movement 12 were pretty cool. I
listened to another Decoder 12 (on Ruffneck Ting records) in the shop
on Saturday - not that impressed though, a bit samey.
More cool Hardstep:
Ed Rush/Nico - Sector 3 - No U turn
Well scary Drum'n'Bass for creeping around dark and dank underground
tunnels to, keeping an eye out for strange methane breathing
monsters coming up behind you. Be Carefull!
Hokusai - Black Rose/12 til 4 - Source Direct
Black Rose is the best Amen track I've heard in ages, mainly cos they
keep switching the breaks almost every single bar, so you never know
whats going to come next. Massive bass and perturbing electronics
to go with it.
Nasty Habits - Shadow Boxing - 31 Records
More frightening techstep form the label that bought you the mighty
Dom and Roland. Big hoover basslines always go down a treat with me.
Boymerang - Sorry, can't remember - Prototype
Excellent. No-U-Turn style drums, mixed with acid noises. One side
is dark, the other has beautiful fractured melodies rising out
of the squelchmire.
