I have these: Mc Solaar - Qui Seme Le vent Recolte Le Tempo Polydor Records (LP - 16 tracks. this is availble only as a french import in the US. It's his first album that I'm aware of from 1991) Mc Solaar - Prose Combat Cohiba Records (LP - 15 tracks. Second LP available domestically.) Others stuff: There was a UK only EP called Solaar Power that came out in '94 that is fucking awful. There are several singles for Obsolete as well, both of these where taken from Prose Combat. I'm sure there are singles and EP's from and that predate the first album, but I don't know about them. In addition, Mc Solaar also appears on Guru's first Jazzamatazz LP (they even performed live together on tv once). Hope that's a little more trainspotty for you...

Fantasies are meant to be wrecked! Forget old saggy Bjork, and skanky Tori and peek those Spice Girls. hehe. If you don't like one there's always four others. Rumbled awake by an earthquake at 4:27am, damn it, and luckily didn't have a naked lunch poster embeded in his skull.... _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm

How is this record? Prose Combat is brilliant, imo. Isn't there supposed to be a new Solaar album in the works? Miles

'Prose Combat' was his first album, wasn't it? I think there was another album after that one that had the tracks "Le nouveau western' (cool video btw) and 'La concubine d'hemoglobine' on it, or was that on 'Prose Combat' ? Aaargghhh, Otto, you'll never make a trainspotter this way :) Anyway, I'm pretty sure that there are at least two MC Solaar albums. Also check out albums by Soon E MC (french hiphop inna Solaar-stylee) and Alliance Ethnique (the french version of the Brand New Heavies). 'Respect the funk' by A.E. on a hot summer day, aaahhhh yeah! Otto OnNow: 808 State - 'Pacific state 212'
