well, i just got ahold of the new autechre full length and after one listen, feel it's their best material. much more experimental than the others, but the beats are still there. track one sounds like they were criss crossing some power wires. i'll post a full review later but here's the track listing: cipater rettic AC tewe cichli hub calbruc recury pule nuane time: 69:51 john/c bcrayon@nacs.net http://www.bentcrayon.com

Chiastic slide is the only Autechre I own. I've never heard the LP5 but I have heard almost everything else. I had EP 7.1 for awhile then sold it. I think this was because it didn't have the focus of Chiastic slide. Maybe I just don't have the patience. I can't believe that Autechre gets so much talk while Musik aus Strom is some of the best stuff I have ever heard, and ever since I've been a member of this list (about a month hehehe) I haven't heard a thing about it. On another topic, does anyone know anything remotely similar to the stuff that Nobekazu Takemura produces. This type of IDM seems more playful than anything people discuss on this list. Any suggestions? (PS Sorry if I've offended anyone on the Autechre remark.) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Dude, if you like Chiastic so much get Envane. Came out at the same time (even has similar cover art). And it's excellent. if you bought 7.1, i'm sorry. the first half of EP7 is overall very subpar. get 7.2, it's much better and worth the money. But if you don't like the overall sound of Ae nowadays, then avoid it too, as well as Cichlisuite and LP5. If you like Nobekazu though, maybe you'll like LP5... i find a lot of similarities in it. I certainly love scaring my roomates by spinning Scope once in a while. heh. -mark Mark Fiorillo wrote:
