I had a conversation the other day with an industry music publisher on this topic, and it was his feeling that the ascendence of "techno" was overshadowed and delayed by the "grunge" explosion -- and now that grunge is dying off (eh, all due respect to Kurt), techno is back on the move and getting some serious attention from the great spooky business moguls. ::shrug:: --Seofon
