After Blech and Warp Records, another of UK
clubland's most
dependable labels brings its stable of mixologists
to NYC. Word
from England is that Ninja Tune's Stealth parties
rock, and given
the lineup and the success of Blech, this one
should too. Coldcut
have been doing it as long as anyone (remember the
"Paid In Full"
remix?); they put out last year's best mix CD, and
they're one of
the few DJ teams that actually gets creative and
eclectic with their
mixes, as opposed to just seguing from one
similar-sounding track
to another. Also on the bill: the equally
excellent DJ Food, DJ
Vadim, Kid Koala, and New York's Wally. Expect to
hear just
about every style of breakbeat from funk to drum
and bass.
