Ian O'Brien is an amazing new technojazz producer. He has two stunning eps, Intelligent Desert and Monkey Jazz, on the excellent Ferox label and one great ep on the 4th Wave label called It's An Everyday World. There is a full-lenght lp/cd called Desert Scores out soon on Ferox. Ian has also done some collaborative work with Claude Young also out on Ferox. If you like the jazzier side of Underground Resistance or the Metamorphic eps of Dan Curtin, then you really should check out Ian O'Brien's music. As for your question about the Ferox label, Ferox has been IMHO one of the most consistent pure techno labels in the UK for the past two years having released almost 30 eps and 2 lp/cds by the likes of russ gabriel, detroit escalator co, blue arsed fly (christian vogel & neil landstrum), ian o'brien, mark broom, synchrojack, derrick carter, claude young, steve paton, kenny dixon jr and carl craig. If you want a good taste of what Ferox has to offer, check out the Ferox comp Adventures in Technosoul lp/cd. Hope this helps! -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

<shameless namedropping on> And Russ Gabriel lives not 5 miles from me, and I've spoken to him on the phone before......he's quite interested in IDM by the way. <shameless namedropping off> -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions
