I really don't think that anyone is going to change her or his mind about Squarepusher or Orbital by these arguments. Who really cares about all the socio-psycho-babble concerning bands being predictable or making it big. You hear a tune. You like it, you don't, or you just don't give a fuck. End of story. All music is safe. Never has any record or CD ever leaped up at me in an attempt to harm me. The only record that ever made me physically ill for some reason was SPK's Leichenschrei when I heard it for the first time (must have been something I'd eaten).

Esplendor... it's been a while since I heard that name. Kings of the weird distorted groove, looooong before Meat Beat or Aphex Twin released any records. Can't we just turn this list into the Industrial Deja-vu Messages list or something, until this Orbital thing blows over? Anyone out there know Monoton (before he teamed up with Dano to make gabba)? this would be a rather interesting facility. would be at least better then disscusing wether Orbital is predictable safe music or not. Toralf reporting from Friedrichshafen, Lake Bodensee, Germany.
