Who are those guys? I got the 'moving house' comp on SSR, which turned out to be a let down, exept for the Basement Jaxx track which is almost amazing! Regards, Eylon. Snow.

Moving closer to drum'n bass territory every day actually. Once signed to Island Records' fringe label Smash, Sheep on Drugs' debut album was very much into acid house territory, with industrial-tinged vocals and warped beats. That album, "Greatest Hits," came out in 1993. Later dropped by Island, Sheep on Drugs was signed by Martin Atkins, and shortly after put out a compilation of their independent EPs "Suck" and "Strapped for Cash" on Atkin's Chicago industrial imprint, Invisible. Now a year later, their new album (out in two weeks) "One for the Money" is a bit of a departure, jumping full throttle into high-impact drum'n bass. Highlights from the album include their cover of The Velvet Underground's "Waiting for My Man." ObInvisible: They just switched distributors, leaving Touch'n Go for Caroline. There are seven new releases on the label expected in the next month including some IDM-related works. More info as I get it. Oh, and for more details on Sheep on Drugs, you can find an article I wrote on my web page. :) On an additional note, their cover of "Back in Black" by AC/DC (a sorta self-indulgent trip into dubby electronics) can be found on Cleopatra's AC/DC Tribute album. onnow: the cardigans (sheesh, just don't ask me about my musical tastes) Lame Thread Prevention in Effect: Aaron Michelson --------------------------------------------------------------------- aw-teck'r (autechre) "Everything you Know is Wrong" For reviews, interviews, art & trash http://www.on-it.net/~aaron/ aaron@defiant.on-it.net
