Resistance album. The slew of great releases emanating from the Emissions label has been quite amazing. Can anyone help with a source for the Being/Two Lone Swordsmen 12" on Emissions?< Indeed. While "Resistance" was immediate with it's funky beats in "Diamanda" and "External", "Mexican Church" featured more lo-fi sounds that fans of Mo'Wax would find appealing. As for the TLS/Being 12", I got mine from Siren (http://sirencd.com) about a month ago. The three pieces don't really go anywhere. Much better is the Deanne Day vs. Blue 12" called "Prisoner". It's a one sided track with deep bass. I had ordered this from E/R thinking I was getting Deanne Day's "Hardly Breathing" 12". You can imagine my surprise when I was sent "Prisoner" instead. Also check Being's "Tides" CD. While not IDM, it will appeal to fans of Being's "Transmissions" on Emissions. Paul Rafanello intone@warwick.net

Why isn't this IDM? Admittedly it hasn't been discussed much here, but I think people who like As One will be very fond of Tides, as will fans of Russ Gabriel's Voltage Control. OnNow: A Sheffield pirate on my Walkman, just mixing into Halcyon (is there no escape). adam
