Hmmm.... Maybe I'm completely off base here. I guessed that Ed Rush isn't a person because Ed Rush sounds like a play on "Head Rush" and because the Ed Rush track on Tech Steppin is credited to two people, neither of whom are named Ed or Rush. I don't have the disk with me or I'd list the names. Miles

Ed Rush is a pseudonym for one guy, I can not remember his name, but the other person credited on Techsteppin' and most of Ed Rush's other tunes is Nico (another pseudonym), who produces most of Ed Rush's tracks as well as producing most of DJ Trace's tunes as well. Dan

Here's da inside scoop on the no U turn posse: Nico, Ed and Trace all grew up together...Their parents still live next door to each other. Nico is the main man behind the NoUturn and Siagon labels. His real name is Nick Sykes. He does most all the writing, programming and mixing on the majority of the tracks release on these two labels (and others). He's talented as fuck, but is the kind of guy that doesn't mind hiding in the shadows, avoiding the spotlight. He's also a hell of a nice guy. Other misc data: The Saigon sister label, also puts out jungle, more on a mellow jazzy tip. The name of this label came from Nico's girlfriend, MaryAnn, who had a top role in the London version of Miss Saigon. Before becoming 'the no U turn' headcorders, the spacious Eastman Road studio was occupied by other electronica heads, such as Paul Okenfold and many others. The walls of their space are covered with some of the most unbelievable art I've ever laid eyes on...a shot of the inside of Tyrell corp. (with the columns) with the creature from 'alien', a transporter from startrek beaming up Naomi Campbell and a chrome 'soyrama' type girl with the letters D & B coming out her ears! Wicked shit, all done by a completely insane artist named Toby. The last time I was in London, I had a chance to work on some tracks with nico, but ended up leaving before the test presses were cut. According to some friends, this ep got quite high on the London charts (at the time) and was on a Kruder & Dorfmister top 10 of the year list (yeepee!). I don't know the name it was put out under, but I'm getting my copies TODAY (only two years later) from a friend who just got back from the UK on Thursday! I hope all this chatter was semi-entertaining! peace out, brock np: The Perfect Combination - 'pressures'
