Is there a track-listing for the new Autechre album available yet? I looked on the Warp and Ae web-sites and only found the track listing for "Envane." Well, if anyone's got it (greg303?), lemme know :) -Mike mps2@cec.wustl.edu

1. Cipater * 2. Rettic AC 3. Tewe 4. Cichli * 5. hub 6. Cal Bruc 7. Recury 8. Pule 9. Nuane * Been meaning to post some info on this disc, and this is a nice chance. The sequencing on this disc is extremely tight... chock full of DENSE static ticks and noise swirling in chaotic complexity. The * tracks are my favorite, and probably the most aggressive tracks on the disc. While not a perfect album, (every Ae disc has its flaws anyways) Chiastic Slide still astounds me everytime I hear it. Many artists have tried to imitate, but never have I heard such disturbing magic come from my speakers as I have from Ae. As for comparisons to previous efforts? Probably Tri Repetae is the closest thing to Chiastic Slide. This may disappoint those who miss the swirling dark ambience of Incunabula and Amber... this album is just as daunting to approach their last, but very rewarding. Their approach to song writing is much more detailed and layered than Tri Repetae, and the beat programming has much less emphasize on the "thunks" and more on layered noise. Note: it's quite difficult to put this disc in words, but given more time, I could try again offline... :) Just say the word.
