Hey, just in case some of you don't know about the demoscene, I think it
is someting every IDM lover would appreciate. I don't really know how to
describe it, so I suppose I will let you, if you want to, of course, try
for yourself. One really rudimentary demo made about three years ago by the
Future Crew, is called Second Reality. I reccomend this becuase it has a
wonderful tune by Purple Motion. Get part one @
http://www.hornet.org/pub/demos/demos/1993/0-9/2ndreal1.lzh, and part 2 @
http://www.hornet.org/pub/demos/demos/1993/0-9/2ndreal2.lzh.
Demos are computer animated realtime graphics, usually vector based, that
synch to music, much of the music good techno, some amazingly innovative.
Anyway, the scene is really really fun and FREE, and while I don't want to
crate a diversion for the list, the demoscene is so gigantic, and so many
people doppn't seem to know about it. I just thought I shoud share. Oh
another really great one that I love is "Toasted" by Cubic Team and $een.
Snag it @
http://www.hornet.org/pub/demos/demos/1996/c/ctstoast.zip <- a
very fun demo. Anyway, I love to chat about demos, cause I have been a
junky for about 3 years, and if I get flames for this post, flame sans IDM.
Send flames to --> benm@tiac.net - always happy to chat! Oh BTW all demos
requre a soundcard, GUS is the standrd, but you will do OK with a SB. - Adios.
