A few things... anyone heard this cd The Unfinished? (on Sub Rosa - Locust, Mick Harris, lilith & David Toop) Le Car has a track on the Electro Juice comp which is sorta cool, also How about the Aphex Twin remix of Wagon Christ as the best track on Avantgardism, and the milkyboy as second, and finally, I heard that Moby is the great grandson of Herman Melville, so you can perhaps imagine why he takes the name, and how his persona/performing sensibility comes off as ego driven in a way that almost seems like [it should be] a joke. I think the most dynomite track on the comp is actually from 'the private lightning six' _license to drive_. What else does this 'group' have out and about in the way of 12"'s? Le Car's full length on Monoplaza is very worth the pick me up cost. Tromping around the usual ground of say, drexciya and/or dopplereffekt w/o the zany voice overs. I want to be... 'Vout a doubt.. Sounds like he's done 10 mixes and boiled them down to make one immense piece of music, it sounds to me like he used the same idea for the track Hangable Auto Bulb - A whole album's worth of material in 6 minutes! This one broke acres of new ground, nothing since by Aphex has hit the mark as effectively. On Now? Wanderer (for sampling and pleasure)
