This release on Metropolis (US) is a very big and imposing pile of industrial techno. That doesn't say much to distinguish it from too many other CDs, but I can compare it favorably with Lassigue Bendthaus' "Cloned" and "Matter". It's a bit cleaner, more refined, less grungy and shifts through a spectrum of industrial genres, always keeping the beat more innovative than 75% of button pushers who release records, and sometimes more than 90%. Others may certainly disagree. Industrial jungle isn't as wack as I would expect, in their capable hands, that is. As with anything, listen first. You'd probably be checking out Metropolis stuff already if you liked the above-mentioned Schmidtwerken. Alas, my mouth fell open and I had to say something. Take care. Mr. Gil gil@l0pht.com No authority is self-justified. Resist. Visit The Compendium of Allowable Knowledge http://www.l0pht.com/~gil/ FREE MUMIA ABU-JAMAL. END THE RACIST DEATH PENALTY.

Solutions for a Small planet has got to be one of the most interesting and unique records to come out this year. It really breathes some life in the dying carcass that is industrial. Lots of quick second edits, great breaks, and the vocals even work in the context of the tracks. Definately an album worht checking out. The closest comparision that I can come up with is Lassique's Cloned or to a lesser degree THD's outside in. ROB:)!!!!!!!!
