Anybody got this CD or heard anything about it? It's supposed to be limited to 500 copies. It's pretty cool, probably best described as "dark ambient". I didn't realize it was that limited! Whatever the case, a beautiful juxtaposition of dark ambient rumbles and nice crisp pinging sounds and the ilk. I personally thing that the Otras series on Fax is his best of all, especially Otras II, as it works so well in avoiding the whole medium frequency spectrum; nice & static-y. ' Curious if anything new in the works from Mr. R., as I'm absolutely enamored by everything I've gotten so far (all Fax releases & mentioned Narcos). (I guess I can always phone Linus at Discreet fer his number if I wanted to be a real pest). John Quest Sex Magick, Designer Drugs & Machines that go "PING!!!" Yer thinkin' of the new Datacide CD off Rather Interesting, which on another note kicks my ass with its mention of my second favorite appliance, the holy microwave. (as opposed to my first love..... the holy toaster!!) Both in their more primitive forms have some good sounds that I've snagged for a sample base, though I have definitely been blown away by the fridge trax release from the mego guys and enjoyed utilizing sum of the waves on their site. One bitch though.... the Farmer's Manual Guys have changed their site and removed my favorite "flying plane over shifting kaleidoscopic landscape" page (the new one is not as hypnotic).... Oh well, can't say no to change.... John Quest Sex Magick, Designer Drugs, & Fridges that go 'Ffffffffvvverrrrrmmmmpphh!' NP: Two Lone Swordsmen - Swimming Not Skimming (Emissions)
