did dr really do ventolin? I thought this was done by aphex together with this johnny clayton. (like the latest "RDJ" and feed me wierd things for example), don't have record at hand right now, so i cannot check. doesn't look like a dr item tho. 11th commandment: thou shall not overrate. even though they made some covers to some really great artists/music, i don't think that they are THAT great. seems to me that ppl have this opinion just because they did almost all warp stuff... I like the cover of cylobian sunset A LOT more than the cover of tri repitae... my two cents, franz. -- Franz Enmark -- Extra Terrestrial -- --there's a sheep loose in the lane, -- --there's a goose asleep in the rain -- -----------------------------od?-------

of course not and I never said that. The above is misquoted.

you cannot overrate tDR too highly. ian/mike/nick and now matt pyke have and no doubt will continue to influence a generation of graphic design. you just have to look at the great long list of other graphic designers that rip them off.

eh? you are mad. tDR do more than just record covers, everything from interior design in tokyo to Nike adverts :)

Where will I find examples of the non-record design? I read ID(International Design) but I don't recall seeing any of their design featured. Is there an article in recent years? I would like to see more than their record art and to learn about their history. There is almost nothing happening in the fine art world that is ndicative of the world today. I have been looking for design teams that work in multi-media as the avant garde today art world. A design team like DR might be what I have been looking for. They apear to be plastic enough to work in several design feilds(commercial illustration, logos, interior design, fonts and video games while successfully merging art with commerce in a cross-cultural method. Has DR worked in industrial design or in furniture? This could be the sprouting of a design team as influential has the Bau Haus movement. They are quietly creating a style that is as isolationist and as well defined as Art Deco.
