THEY didn't sound like idiots- the interviewer did, though, and so did the people who called in. The brothers told a story about a show they did in Germany in which they were almost struck by lightening. There wasn't really any question about their upbringing, only whether they came from a musical family which they didn't- what more are they supposed to say? The interviewer started the interview by asking how they "hooked up"-- um....hello? THEY'RE BROTHERS!!! What the hell kind of question is that? They mainly talked about their influences, their view on the American electronic music scene, Organic, etc. etc. Nothing earth shattering was disclosed. Orbital on 120 Mins: Matt Pinfield is a complete fucking meat head idiot. You could feed a family for a week with all the meat on his head. His questions to Orbital were pretty lame and he congratulated them on headlining Glastonbury this year. Fucking retard. Worse, they showed Orbital ZERO respect by only playing one of their video's (the box). Any other crappy alternative act, no matter who they are, and 120 mins always plays at least two of their vids sometimes more. What a joke. Fuck MTV and that meat head too. Cylob:

He only has two at the moment. Cylobian Sunset and Empathy Box as Kinesthesia. I suggest you get Cylobian Sunset then instead of getting any more CD's take the money and buy any old record player at the thrift store. Replace the cartridge and belt. Buy Kinesthesia Vol. 1 & 2 & Industrial Folk Songs and your head will be melting like base in a cooker. Blech:

What do they know about IDM in New York? They'd rather dress up funny and listen to Jr. Vasquez spinning uplifting anthems. Stay on the plane a few more hours and come to LA. Me and Brock will get 'em laid. Don't they know West Coast knows how to party? G-spot Out... _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ RESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California Love, USA

OK, who wants to make a bet that Orbital will be asked to play "live" on next year's MTV Music Video Awards? AMP will have been on 5 times a week for almost exactly a year, the techno mainstream revolution will be in full swing in America, and 13 year old kids in baggy pants will be rockin' to Halcyon on every street corner. They'll put The Box up for "best techno video" and the rest will follow. Any takers? Cid. It scares me to think that you might be right..However, I think that Prodigy is going to be the first group to open up techno to the mainstream and MTV. Hell, they're already doing it...they've become a more "alternative dance act" and have gotten away from techno a bit. The "hip" teenagers are going to eat up The Prodigy's "shocking, in yer face" image soon and you'll stoon start hearing Liam's choons on mainstream radio and MTV. From there you'll start seeing people getting more interested in techno and eventually techno will become part of pop music (to one extent or another). That's my theory...Any takers? Bill C.

Not to pick a fight with you Gonzi (cause I agree) but 'meathead' Pinfield does know his shit when it comes to crap alterni/indy rock. I was curious to see how his 'IDM' trainspotting abilities were...Not very impressive! The worst part of 120minutes for me was sitting thru all those shitty videos, especially the 'better then ezra' ones! horrible... While interviewing P&P, they mentioned Cabaret Voltaire a few times. Pinhead looked kind of stumped, then after the commercial break, he came back and dropped a few CV titles...wow, he must have ran backstage and opened up his IDM cliff notes!

Well, here's my story about the last time RDJ was in LA... He was opening (DJing) for Bjork at the Wiltern, she was sick and had to cancel the show. So myself and some friends spend a few hours calling all the hotel/motels in LA looking for RDJ. We never found him, but later, another friend (who has a local record lable) called and said he had found him and RDJ had agreed to spin at his record relase party being held at the diamond club that night. I've always suspected my friend of being a big lier and took this with a grain of salt. I didn't end up going, RDJ didn't end up spinning there, and from what I heard, he was spotted later, chilling at goa dub later that night. I was disapointed we never hooked up with him and don't know what we'd have done if did...It most likely would have involved getting piss drunk, driving over peoples lawns and doing crazy shit, which is entirely normal around here in hollywood. And yes...we even would have got him laid! (big wink) word to the mothership, brock np: TPower: 'the self evident truth...' ps: While in the studio this weekend listening to some records, my musical partner, Malcolm, was in some kind of deep stony trance with his eyes closed. I grabbed the new RDJ LP out of my crate and held it infront of his face, inches away from his nose. After 4 minutes he slowly open up his eyes and made the funniest expression I've ever seen! We all had a good laugh and he called me (and RDJ) a sick bastard!

Gonzi (who I think is the originator of this quip, if not I appologize beforehand), you are full of shit. You have no basis.

Well Collin, Your semi-right about new years eve...We will have to stomach a bunch of crappy 'LA house' djs like Doc and Steve Loria, but guess who else is spending NYE with us? Here's a few (from varous event's): MIX MASTER MORRIS SPACETIME CONTINUUM DJ FOOD FEATURING STRICTLY KEV & PC FREAKY CHAKRA VS. SINGLE CELL ORCHESTRA PETER LAZONBY not to mention another 50 or so top notch 'out of town' guns... Yes Blech will be nice, but I'm damn well going to try to have as much fun here in sunny california as I can! And just maybe on New Years Day, Gonzi and I will be kicking at a little party in the studio with Morris and Jonah tweaking away on our old Juno's and Kev & PC spinning along with that second set of 1200's I just picked up last week! We'll see! ;-) It's all in good fun! peace out, brock np: Kraftwelt - 'deranged in space' PS: Morris, if you read this...I've got the flyer posters you left a couple NYEs ago, they're still here if you want'em!
