I heard 'Halcyon+On+On' first, so I knew there was an Opus 3 sample in that song - plus it is credited on the liner notes. So the first time I heard 'Halcyon' (the non-album version)...well bugger me if that wasn't a Yes sample kicking in at the 4 minute mark. The notes on the sleeve don't reflect this though - only mentions the Opus 3 one and a Scott Walker sample for 'Naked & the Dead'. So I'm 99.9999% sure that those male vocals are from 'Leave It' off of what? '90125'? Not sure, but anyway the bros Hartnoll are known for dropping cheezy samples into that song - Belinda Carlile (sp?) & Bon Jovi are the two well known ones. Slipping a bit of non-groovy Yes into one of the best toons of the past five years wouldn't be past that duo. Why it is uncredited remains a mystery - perhaps we are all wrong and if we ask P & P "Yes?" they may reply "No!". BTW does anyone know if Halcyon with the Belinda samples will be on the upcoming Orbital live EP's? BTW#2 I'll post this to the orbital list and see if I get a response - should get a definitive answer from those guys.... Cheers, Geoff
