I've been thinking about a fund raiser to help support the club night I'm
involved in here in boston. specifically, I'm considering holding a
raffle with the grand prize being one of my two copies of the Joyrex J9i
picture disc. There would be various assorted 'runner up' prizes etc etc.
What I'm trying to guage is (and I need to sort this out before I put my
prized possesions on the block) do ppl think that selling chances at a
price of $1 for one chance $5 for 10 is smart?
I'm dead serious, all proceeds would be put toward bringing some TALENT to
the night (which is in dire need of HEADS!) and general deferring of
building costs. (Currently all of the peeps pulling for TRAINSPOT! are
volunteers).
Anyhow....come check us out, tuesdays 10pm-2am @the playhouse 36 lansdowne
street. 11/26 surprise special guest, 12/3 WIPEOUTxl promo w/dj's bevin
and sasha (usa), 12/10 spy Vs spy tape release party w/dj Matthew Lehrer
and finally 12/17 old skool night (to celebrate my birthday)
w/Environ&Metamorphic recording artist Morgan Geist (djing).
