I picked up a rather nice comp at the weekend that I haven't seen mentioned here. It's called 'The Freestyle Files: Futuristic Electronics Vol1' on !K7 records, and has stuff from Warp, Clear, NinjaTune etc. Probably nothing not available elsewhere (I have several of the tracks myself), but a nice collection - two full-length discs of top-notch stuff for 12 quid can't be bad: Disc 1 Photek "Into the 90's" Nightmares on Wax "Nights Interlude" Kruder & Dorfmeister "High Noon" Up, Bustle & Out "Revolutionary woman pt 1" Howie B "Freedom" Funki Porcini "B Monkey" Sabres of Paradise "Wilmot meets Lord Scruffage" Jimi Tenor "Phantom" Jake Slazenger "Supafunk" Gregory Fleckner Quintet "Sumes" Disc 2 Link "Antacid (Jedi Knights mix)" Jedi Knights "May the funk be with you" Spacepimp "K-9 Law" Herbert "100lbs" Autechre "Second Scepe" Photek "T. Grr. The vinyl version has _much_ less material on it. And it's not like the K7! folks couldn't fit more on the discs. Example : Track one on side D; Herbert's _100 Lbs._, The run off groove starts about 2.5 inches from the EDGE of the label. I'm sure another track could have fit. A great compilation; I think vinyl purchasers got screwed.
