I think the reviewer needs to listen to some Miles Davis, and then perhaps decrease the amount of sugar added to his/her breakfast cereal. I also wonder that the reviewer has not won any sort of Nobel Prize for the development of time travel, in order to judge all the records to be released in the next three years? If it matters to anyone, Phil Collins played on Eno's "Another Green World" and all the Genesis albums before they began to suck. Not only that, but it was Peter Gabriel who taught Phil Collins the production techniques to get the signature Phil Collins gated reverbed etc. drum sound. Oh, around the time of Peter Gabriel's 3rd self-titled record. Wherein one can hear said cannon-like drum sound to full effect (especially in "Intruder"). Still fair to say - he's an exceptionally talented drummer. It's a crime that for the most part he's wasting that talent now on trivial music.
