The video "Teachings from the electronic brain" contains videos to 5-10 tracks from their new album as well as some of their older music (also short ambient projects from an album by Amorphous Androgynous called "Environments", what is this?). As Helen said, it is a bit boring but I still find it watchable. The videos to "Lifeforms" were much better, they really managed to express the feeling of the song with a lot of bizarre lifeforms everywhere. BTW the video to "My kingdom" is completely based on shots from the "Lifeforms" videos. MTV Europe's "Chill out zone" will probably screen the FSOL videos more during the following months.

So next time, say "IDM" in a nonchalant way meaning "if you don't know what I mean by IDM you're stupid" and hopefully they won't ask. But actually, "intelligent dance music" is a pretty bad term. If intelligent means that all other dance music is stupid then I think it's an snobby term. If it means intelligent as the opposite to emotional then it's false because IDM can be highly emotional (all music is more or less emotional). Innovative is also a bad interpretation of the I because a lot of dance music can be innovative without being IDM, and a lot of IDM is not innovative. I mean if someone would rip Aphex Twin off it would be IDM but it wouldn't be innovative, would it? The D is also false since you can seldom dance to IDM. I agree with the M though, even though some people don't regard it as music.
