Well I've eventually got my copy, with booklet.... Reading through it, it reminds me of William Borruoughs, alright it may not be as strange as some of the stuff he's come out with, but the blokes had 50 more years of self abuse. If FSOL can keep this up and become half as bizar as our Will, we're deffinatly in for a weird ride. Chris.

Just to add another opinion to the stack, I'm not as crazy about this release as I was about ISDN. The two standout tracks for me are "Her Face Forms in Summertime" (that rolling flanged snare is excellent) and "Everyone in the World..." (great chord progression/melody). The rest is OK, but doesn't really move me. I s'pose I'm in the minority as well on "We have Explosive", which I find somewhat schlocky. One thing I wish they'd concentrate more on is actual sound design/timbre choice. I don't mind the expansive nature of their songs, what with all of the nature samples and such, but I'd rather it be a synthetic mutation of a waterfall, as opposed to an unmodified sample of seagulls flying by. Pastiche is nice, but it sounds best when the elements are integrated. GD
