I just got this 2 LP set and I'm really surprised by it. I can't say I'm
much of a hip hop fanatic, but Vadim makes something really interesting
out of more than just traditional hip hop beats. This album is very "mess
with your mind" oriented with countless imbedded noises (doors creeking,
springs, beeps, record crackling, answering machine messages, radio
station tuning, scratching sounds, etc...). In fact on a couple of tracks
I had to physically go up to the record to make sure it was not scratched.
The underpinnings of the album seem to be making fun of the US hip hop
gansta scene. I think this is better heard all at once in order to get
the continuity of it all. There is also an article on him and this record
in the last Muzik issue.

At a time where few seem to consider music as an artform but simply as a
machine for making money, I acknowledge & commend all artists/musicians
from whatever music genre who primarily strive to expand the boundries of
music & how we percieve it. Music is multi-dimentional & verticality is
