I would like to emphatically disagree with the above statement. This is a beautiful track with hauntingly sad vocals- I am particularly fond of the Attica Blues mix. It's nothing like her previous release but it's an excellent song nonetheless.

i would have to add my disagreement as well. 'rocking chair' is goregeous, wringing every last drop of emotion out of you with the string arrangement (i believe by rob 'clubbed to death' dougan). very sweet -- i just wish the other attica blues mix was on the cd, 'cause it's so good i'm just gonna have to buy the vinyl... mikebee

Well what do all of you think? I could only afford BoxA (missed out on the vibert track on B.. ugh..) I love it, of course - really smooth and ambient beats. And they keep saying ambient is dead - ha.. -Jason

I managed to pick these up yesterday, and i'm still ploughing my way through all the tracks. From what I've listened to so far it's a great compilation and an excellent way to get into the Mo Wax sound. I'm a bit of a Mo Wax fan, and allthough some of the releases can complete dross on the whole it's still one of the most adventureous lables about. Occasionally pulling out all the stops when comming to idm, if you haven't got a copy of Andrea Parkers - Melodius Thunk go and buy it NOW, I can't praise this record enough (Dark, Deep, Brooding, Funky Techno) it's a grand soundscape of intence beauty (got a bit carried away there). Just don't bother with new Andrea Parker 12" Rocking Chair though, how ever much I try to like it, her voice just doesn't have the emotion to pull it off(it's also off key). :( Another to avoid is Ebo Man - Donuts with Buddah EP, I bought this because of a Depth Charge remix and even that couldn't rescue it. On a good note, the Luke Virbert mix of Tortois's - The Taut & Tame is ace, an idm future classic. Chris :)
