g3 - who is this other DJ guy, Grant, I've never heard of him? Sounds crap! also: it really is too short - onlt coz you looked at the timer on your cd - it's a magical time compression, I think, squashing an hour of pleasure into 30 minutes!

neither are loads of classic tunes (eg - James Bond theme 1:45). The ideas are far more "finished" than most of the music in my collection, but there's so much left to the mind to contemplate.... run of the mill aphex - which is... think about that. half baked tracks ,

Yeah, wore some daft LED coat thing and played Ecstasy Club "Jesus Love's The Acid" last time I saw 'im. Apparently he's got something to do with that trip hop label Reflex. It says so on the flyer but they've spelt it wrong. g.

yeah the remaining 42 minutes of space are 'magic' , as Sun Ra said 'Space is the Place'

so you reckon the aphex twin album is comparable to the james bond theme , the magic roundabout theme is 45 seconds-don't mean diddly squat though. I would have to say that the intellectial critique of the album has to come in to play because there is not enough substance in the music itself, my argument is not about the track lengths , but the fact that it seems we are being sold short with half an album.

for the people who are parting with their hard earned cash you know the people who have supported his music since day one , is he so arrogant that he could release an album of himself singing in the bath and expect us to buy it , i'd expect something more from a mature established artist. sm @ 4th world uk *cutting edge mail order* http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld/
