ho there idm-sters, finally got my hands on a copy of a recent Wire (sept) and there was a review of the latest Black Dog release, which I hadn't listened to in a while. To make a long story short, I was quickly reminded of how genuinely smart this album is, where instead of gorging the listener with a surplus of 7 minutes of loops, the tunes are fleetingly tantalizing. or maybe i'm just extremely hungry... drool, drool mj

Whether it's a short loop or a drawn out long loop, it's still a loop. And without any progression or emotion, loops get boring. I've given "Music for Adverts..." plenty of time, and it still has failed to grow on me as some promised. While there are a few tracks that are interesting and intriguing, the album as a whole is mediocre at best.
