Hi all, Last night I played a 4 hour IDM set at the Ambient Lounge. I'm still a bit sick and on heavy Antibiotics/Nyquil so I played by far the most wacky set yet! With exception of a few minor trainwrecks, everyone loved it. At the end of the night, Garth from SF showed up a played a few house toons. I got back on and finished off night with the few dance records I had in my crate, including the Cylob mix of Flicklife. Wow what a reaction. People were dancing madly, girls were running up and thanking me for playing such cool shit and 3 people ran in to the booth after the end of the song and asked what it was and where they could get it! I got to tell a bunch of people about Rephlex, how that was a remix by a guy remixing his own stuff under a different name and that I like the Original Kinesthesia mix better but it scared 'normal' people because it had a bad ass distorted beat. A few minutes later, eyes glassed over and they all went away, leaving me to do some mixing! Trainspotting strikes again... On another note, props out to Joachim/SoCal-Raves Calendar/mailing list: at 2:00am, Garth found that he had lost the number/directions to Love...I said 'no problemo, I'll call you in five minutes with the info'. Drove home (only a couple of blocks away), pulled up the Calendar, called Jean Louis back and away they went! over and out, brock np: Space Time Continuum - Sea Biscuit
