There's yet another Slack Dog (Ensemble) release, a limited/#ed 7" on Flower
Shop (the quasi-label run by one of the ex-God Machine folks). Two exclusive
tracks, different mixes of "Ruff Dawg" - here called "New Yawk Dog" ("super 7
edit" and "acoustic") from the Lo 12". Credited to Vibert, Biswas, Smith, Tye,
and Proper-Sheppard (FS dude). Just like the original _Collaborations_ track,
it's a bit of grinding noise hammered cleverly into a D&B-ish shape.
Very cool - and very irritating to those with closed minds/sensitive ears. :)

This is one of the finest comps ever assembled, IMHO.
Some of the most 'intelligent' dance music you'll ever hear.
Ragga/The Pylon King - St. Christopher's Dream (Mask Mix)
Vibert, Biswas, Smith, Tye - Ruff Dog
David Toop/Bedouin Ascent - Flashing Night Spirits
Mike Flowers Pops/Funki Porcini - Freebass (cocaine donut mix) <--same as on EP
Lol Coxhill/Paul Schutze - Vermillion Sands
Voafose/Boymerang - Second Funktion
David Toop/Daniel Pemberton - Unearthed
Chant/Jamois - Talma
MLO/David Thomas - Fish Shack
Spykid/Luger - Odessa
Tye/Pemberton - Swimming Pool
Scanner/David Cunningham - White Chapel
BTW, LO Vol: 1 - Extreme Possibilities is almost as good.
Vol:3 is supposedly due out shortly.
I pray it has another Boymerang track. The recent Collapsed Lung remix that
Graham Sutton did is a little, well, disappointing. By-the-numbers slowburn D&B.
Full-length due out on an EMI-sublabel in December! Daniel Gish (another of the
Bark Psychosis Four) is also releasing a solo lp of ambient/garage gear in
December. Woohoo!
GMan II, out-rockin' to the oldies...
