With Aphex's forthcoming pop/chart-friendly "Girl Boy" and "AMP" being discussed recently, I got thinking of how many Warp/IDM releases made it into the charts here in the UK, & came up with: * LFO/LFO * Aphex Twin/On * Tricky Disco/Tricky Disco (well I like it :P, probably not IDM but on Warp) There must be a lot of copies out these out there; do they get played? I wonder what the buyers of "On" for example thought when having heard the title track and got to 73-yips? I have 1 and 2, the LFO LFO (12", 7", Album)... and some tricky disco and I play the LFO regulary, esp. the album is one of my favourites. greetingz, harald +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | visions and sounds from the wicked world of electronic dance music | | WWW -> http://rave.city.de/wicked | | a service of http://www.music.city.de, sponsored by Touch-Net | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+

title track and got to 73-yips? Well, personally speaking, since On was the first single I purchased of Aphex (although I had previously purchased the Zero's and One's remixes and hated them--but I wasn't buying them for Aphex), I loved On but couldn't get into 73-yips or Xepha at all. However I loved the remixes and D-Scape, so I couldn't wait for the forthcoming SAWv2 to come out, thinking that there would be similar stuff on it. Boy was I wrong, but I loved what was on it, and the rest is history. Andrew
