4th world communication *Fridays - annoying those next door, dancefloor stompa's 10* 1.Kushti - Hello it's Wednesday (UK Octopus) Ed Handley (Plaid) and co. take a stroll down to Notting Hill and come back with an armful of carnival melodies and abstract beats. 2..Krisp - Footnotes (Norw.Love OD) Spun by out Derrick May (liked it so much he asked if he could get a copy to give to Carl Craig), and causing a rush to the counter whenever it is spun in shop - 2 tracks of ,lush, jazzy yet driving deep house from artist who records as Ismstik on Djax. 3.Wideo Kids - Viv Woman (UK Reverb) Former Ferox artist and Claude Young collaborator Ian O'Brien with a schizo ep - pumping hi tech jazz on one side , deep spooked minimal techno on flip. 4.Blech 2 CD (UK Warp) Hard not to chart - delightful soundclash - the Food boys mash up the Warp back catalogue - watch out for the unreleased Plaid track, and inspired scratching!! 5.Jimpster - Martian Arts (Freerange) An arts major from Manchester, Jamie Odell, turns in some fine downtempo grooves, live instruments, inventive beats and bizarre samples put this head and shoulders above the rest. 6.Female - Peloton (UK Downwards) A kick drum , crisp handclaps , hissing hi hats and scraping metallic loops- a soundtrack to modern living on the Surgeon's label. 7.Mike Inc - Paroles (Autechre remix) (UK Warp) The boys rip up the blueprint and throw it together Burroughs style, mashed abstract breakbeats with hint of eastern promise , and subtle snaking melody. 8.Fred Gianelli - First Premonition (DBX remixes) (Ger.Superstition) The Telepathic man gets the phunked treatment from Dan Bell , 2 mixes from Bell on one side - 1 seriously demented journey on flip. 9.Kevin Yost - ep (US Guidance) We have raved about this label since day one , sounds to rival the sweet soulful majesty of Prescription , real house music - phoneys take note!! 10.Low res - Amuk (remixes) (UK Sublime) Is this the same as ep on Metroplex? , anyway, Juan provides 3 mixes which expand on the seriously warped techno of the original , a million miles away from Model 500 , the man can cut it at any level. honourable 5 mentions - Sneaker pimps - 6 underground (2 lone swordsem remixes)(cup of tea) Dubeasy 7" (emmissions) Bullitnuts cd (pork) Single cell orchestra - Knockout Drops (asphodel) Universal groove (looking good 7) bye bye and toodle - pip!!! sm @ 4th world records uk on now - roupe - ep (Resourse) *cutting edge mail order* http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld/
