I do not know if you are familiar with the melodious and soulful yet 'pulsing with energy' Detroit style, but if you are in the mood for some aggressive and positive 4/4 (and sometimes slower, moodier cuts), Azimuth will not disappoint. Every KL release I have is awesome. Most often fast, playful and jazzy, full of soul. The first cut, 'Hello' is an invitation into his little world of technically polished track layering and intricate drum programming, and it never lets up. This is IDM to me. Definitely get it. peace, Nate of On Tue, 17 Sep 1996, James Fletcher wrote:

mid-tempo detroit flav sounding a little dated in 1996, but still rhythmically interesting enough to capture interest. Its got 1 great and may be 2 good trax. I drag it out every few months and play the 1 track, listen to the track after, then eject. The whole album has sort of a crisp, digital sound. Supposedly it is rife with K2000 presets. I wasnt impressed. I cant compare it to any other Warp - they usually have more consistent releases. Che
