Indeed it's nice too since the super music here makes it a keeper...leaves Mike and Rich standing still! Childs play even! Gianluigi kicks out a goose down electronica LP! Didn't notice the "time" of the album so much as I enjoyed every moment of listening it. And...you know, it *looks* like an album to me! <camerasready>still my prized Bochum possesion is the Kromode.<prepare2flash>

Only on IDM. 8^/ Teep on now: angel 1 LP <--this plays out like the Goodfellas XIII soundtrack. MAD!

I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I think you've been making fun of me...I guess now you and me, we gotta go outside and have it out, eh? Like most stupid fools say before getting thier asses kicked, "JUST JOKE'N", or as they say in the UK, "just taken the piss out of you, mate". ON WITH THE POST: 1) Teep, thanks for the info on Detroit comp...I'll act as fast as I can (well not really, I'm a bit pissed on Fosters) 2) I listened to the 'works like a 12"' CD again and have mixed feelings...the track selection is nice and the DJ, working on a Pioneer DJM-500 mixer, which he royaly tweeks the fuck out of (read: lots of effects)...The mixes are clean except for a couple of times where there is a lot of audible pitch bend (for you non DJ's, pushing on a record when there's constent tone or the like will get you a whooooo, wheeeee, whoooooo kinda noise which sucks wind). The main problem I have with it is that in more then a few places, the mix is distorted really hard...and I'm not talking about muziq/afx/cylob distortion...the gain is just too damm hot in the mix, add effects and your fucked...it's a common problem with mix tapes. Still I'm glad I got it. 2a) There's a small card in the case with a catalog of all the LP and 12" that the artist featured the CD had done. I looked over them and realized that I had every single one...Guess what? Astralwerks is a really good label! Props out to them (Pete, if your reading this, pat yourself on the back). 3) got home and opened Bochum: M2 - I was very suprised to see the VIC-20 port schemo on the record lable as I put it on...drop the needle and OH YEAH, that's the shit! all people bitching about the price should be happy to get this shit at any price...It's nice! not to make a rhyme, but I really liked all cuts on it...Pure REPHLEX action! 4) this one could get me in trouble but I also picked up a copy of Robert Miles: 'Dreamland'. It was voted the album of the year at the SAS awards or some such shit and I was curious...I played it and wow, what a piece of shit! Can you say "cheesy house"? He used the same beat on all but 2 tracks and man-a-live was it boring and repetitive...there was only one track that I didn't go yuck to (it had a breakbeat, yahoo!). Well, I only paid 2 bucks for it (it was a US PROMO on Arista?!?). I think after I get good and drunk I'm going to go play frisbe with'em ;-) nuff ranting, brock out NP: Giorgio Moroder - "music from battlestar galactica"

A pal of mine passed on a rumor to me that some kid wrote all of the tunes that are featured on _Dreamland_ using a MOD Tracker + that Miles [or an associate] found them on the Internet and swiped them away. I sincerely doubt the validity of the rumor, but the songs on _Dreamland_ really do like something I would be plaing on MOD4WIN or something. I worked in a music store over the summer in which _Dreamland_ was played daily. I constantly thought to myself "if I had a clean piano sample, I could do this, too!" .grant.h.horne .http://delta.is.tcu.edu/~ghhorne/

That was a tip of the cap to the IDM at large's computer skills. Last I checked there were some talented hackers out there.

Evidently those Fosters were poppin brain cells by the minute! I was hardly making fun of your "on now". Much to the contrary, Resonator is one of those tracks that makes me REALLY boogie down. Total soul control. Top Kirky biz. Imagine UNGH being the sound of a Salt and Peppa style PUSH IT move.

What, for a puff? I'm a lover not a fighter.

The bhoom the blip, the bhoom blip. Teep in my head: neil creque's amazing electric pianodelica!
