This was what I was getting at. I think it is very risky to categorize things as intelligent/jungle/drum&bass etc. Maybe it's a way to legitimize discussions on drum&bass on this list? The way I see it is that drum & bass is intelligent dance music. Daniel Roshoff <e95_dro@elixir.e.kth.se>

i'm sorry i termed it the way i did originally, but the point is this - i don't want to waste time and money on the d'n'b stuff i hear on wprb, and i'm definitely more into stuff with some depth and complexity - not one or two sampled breakbeats, a bassline and a vocal sample. so basically, if i had been sitting around being concerned with everybody's notions of what is and isn't "intelligent" i would've just said "i like t power and squarepusher and i'm looking for similar stuff." so it goes.
