howdy, the song your asking about, "Sad But New" appears on the "Times Fly" EP that was released a while ago. I grabbed this off of the Orbital site: http://hyperreal.com/music/artists/orbital Start Quote: Orbital have just released a four track EP (no overall title) featuring three new recordings together with an upgraded version of Sad but True called 'Sad but New' from 'Snivilisation'. The new material consists of 'Times Fly (slow)' (already an integral part of their current live set) together with a corresponding version 'Times Fly (fast)', followed by 'The Tranquilizer' engineered by Edward Woodwark. This will be made available as a double-pack 12", double-7" in gatefold sleeve, limited edition CD digipak and regular CD single. Tracklisting on all formats remains constant. At over 25 minutes in duration the EP won't be visible in either the National Single or Album charts. End Quote: I've got a copy of it on wax: the label is Internal, the cat # is LIARX23. hope that helps you out! hasta la pasta, brock np:

Perhaps on The Box, the CD single? I have the original release of In-Sides (one that came in the blue box), heard this track on my friend's bonus CD and loved it, but have no intention of getting a second copy just for that song... Sorry if this a very dumb question, but I forgot to check things out before I left the U.S., and now I'm in Japan, with very limited resources. (The only Orbital CD in Tower Records Osaka was the 1-CD In-Sides...sigh...) Thanks in advance, Satoko

Konnichi wa! i just had to reply, as i spent all of last year in japan, and i know what it's like trying to get cdz at, say, tower records- Osaka (i lived in hirakata-shi). they just don't have a good selection of techno/dance, etc. anyhow, as far as i know, that track is available only on the in-sides bonus disk, although i am not 100% positive, as i do not have all of orbital's releases. however, IMO, it's worth buying the 2 cd version of in-sides for 2 reasons: 1. the rest of disc#2 is good, esp. the box (extended version) 2. it's limited edition- available only in the u.s. (for a change!!) i'm sorry u bought the original version before u knew about the 2-cd version. maybe u can find the imported 2-cd version somewhere in amerika- mura in Osaka or something. happy-hunting!! mArc p.s. roomaji de hanashitai n dattara, boku ni 'denshi-meeru' o okuridashite kudasai!! /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ mAlo <mjlst30+@pitt.edu> 'out of key slightly just enough to anNoy you' Tear_Garden \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Yes. The bonus CD that comes with initial US pressings of In Sides contains nothing more or less than the previously-issued (outside the US, anyway) EPs for "Times Fly" and "The Box". -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo)
