This question has popped up several times in the last month! , the track is indeed called "Spice" and is by Eon , released circa 1991/92 on Vinyl Solution as a single with a remix 12" that featured Juan Atkins mix. He also put out a couple of albums and a handful of singles (including "Basket Case""Void Dweller") , but I can't remember all the titles , have most of them at home gathering dust somewhere , and collaborated with Peter ' Baby ' Ford as Minimal Man around the same time , resurrecting this moniker for 2 releases on Ford's Trelik label over the last year. Think most of this is still in print , or was last time I looked . sm@ 4th world records uk http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld

Hey, all: I'm trying to remember the name of an artist and piece that this artist did. I first heard it in a little discotheque in Germany. The piece was moderately popular in the mainstream ... I know this because I used to hear it on CFNY, Toronto's one stop source for endless Oasis/Pulp/Blur tracks. The song started with the Baron from Dune proclaiming "He who controls the Spice controls the universe!" Thorughout the rest of the piece, the sampled voice of a Guildsman stated "The spice must flow" repeatedly. In one mix I heard, they also featured the narrative of the Princess whom Paul Atreides eventually marries, and in another much harder mix, the Guildsmen explained the process of travelling through hyperspace. I'm very interested in tracking down a copy of this piece, and maybe finding out what else this artist did. A vague tingling somewhere in my subconscious tells me the artist's name was something like "Epic," and the piece is "The Spice Must Flow." However, I can't find anything relating to either of these two. Thanks a lot, Andrew (awhite@quarry.com)
