okay, interesting polarization we have going here, eh? my thoughts: it bothers me when music i enjoy becomes popular, because i'm an elitist jerk. for it to really _get to me_ i have to hear someone cruising down the street blasting one of my favorite artists out of their stussy-stickered fratwagon (which happened one day with the wu-tang clan - pain!)...however, since i don't really like people and i don't hang out with anyone regularly, chances are i won't know or care if something i like becomes popular. so what? what does worry me is that something similar to the plundering of industrial will occur with electronic music; contrary to what's been said, some people will sell their labels or art to a major, and they will change - maybe the worst thing that will happen is all the filters of this world will buy moogs and add burbling synth lines. whatever. i'm not going to stop it, i'm just not looking forward to it.
