the Aphex Twin remixes of St. Etienne are the best thing he ever did since selected works I. Both mixes are so hypnotic. The vocal loop just drives one mad. Three cheers for reissues as everyone asks me for this one when I play it out. How about the Autechre mix? Thats a doozy as well although very similar in style to the aphex mixes really. There's a new St. Etienne 2cd compilation of remixes called "Casino" or something like that, the pre-order sheet mentioned it would have the Chemical Bros & Aphex mixes on it along w/ a few others. I think it's gonna be released is later September. Anthony

Let's not get carried away. Have you heard the Curve remix? It's right up there as well...and it lasts over 10 mins! Anyhow, there was already a St. Etienne remix album included as a bonus disc in limited edition copies of the CD. ver. of Too Young To Die, the singles album that came out last year. It included the Aphex mix(es?) and the Dust Brothers mix... -Fresh
