Hey while all of you are arguing over Rephlex releases, or whether or not the latest Black Dog album is good/not, I will sit at home enjoying the recent release from INTERLOPER. I haven't seen anyone mention this CD/vinyl/whatever, so I will pass on the suggestion. Unfortunately as I always say, I am horrible at reviews. I will say that this CD has the magnitude of something like BRAIN PILOT, CHERRY BOMB, SNESURREAL, E.V.A, etc. Those are also artists I hear very little of, which is a shame. I am pretty ignorant about a lot of this music so I look to the list for it, but many of you argue (rather than discuss) about Rephlex, WARP, Awerks, not other labels that could use the help this day in time. I don't mean to flame, just trying to open some eyes. So to those of you who ARE familiar with some the above mentioned titles, give INTERLOPER a listen. BTW, the title of the disc is called AUGER and it is on the PLINK PLONK label ( in have never heard ANY person mention them on the IDM list before, though I could be wrong) the artist's name is Johm Ryman. thank you and happy hunting gil --------------------------------MUCH LOVE------------------------------- GMV500 email: videla@ucsu.colorado.edu (h)303 786-0893 (w)303 492-5151 (f)303 492-5959 philosophy: ambient+breakdance=IDM final words: more beer! -------------------------------------------------------------------------

And here I thought that Plink Plonk had done the ole' belly-up move on us! Good to here it's still running. And one reason that they may not get much talk is that they seem to have a terrible distribution... Anyway, I think the person you speak of is Jon Ryman if I'm not mistaken. If you dig his stuff, you may want to pick up a CD he did on millenium entitled "Artifice & Architecture" (Mill 006CD). Firmly in the digital-electro camp that millenium seems to be known for. Incredibly short, tracking in at 31 minutes, but heh, call it a single... -- David "silly silly trainspotting" Jones onnow: "Fat Jazzy Grooves Vol.11+12" (New Breed NBR0043-2) -- boom-boom, thum boom-boom, thum...
