He's called Karl Bonnie. Prior to being a member of RSW, he played bass (I think) in a band called The Jackal, who made a single called "Underneath The Arches", which is sort of prototype RSW. He than joined forces with Gary Asquith & Danny Briottet as Renegade Soundwave. Asquith had earlier been guitar player & singer in 4AD band Rema Rema, and after that a member of Mass (also on 4AD), which also featured Briottet. The rest of Mass later formed The Wolfgang Press, and I think that one or two TWP members were part of RSW when they toured a couple of years ago. While he was in RSW, Bonnie did a single on Mute with Holger Hiller (who did some stuff on RSW's "In Dub" as well) as Ohi Ho Bang Bang called "The Three" - taking sampling to it's extremes (LOADS of silly sounds and samples from Slade - or are those silly sounds as well?). The CD - which was either promo only or withdrawn shortly after release - has an extra CD video track, which shows Karl & Holger throwing around guitars, pieces of furniture and other stuff in time to the samples. Not their greatest musical achievement I'd say, but definitely very funny. After Bonnie had left RSW, he supposedly made two 12" singles as Intergang, called "Dark Horse" and "Peacemaker", both on a label called OCP. I've never seen or heard them, nor have I ever heard anything else on this label. Any clues anyone? I think he also did some work on Holger Hiller's "Demixed" and "As Is" albums. What he's doing now is anyone's guess. For me, too, "Howyoudoing?" was a bit of a disappointment, but after a while I started to like it. It is, indeed, very much a pop record, but when you listen to "Soundclash", I think you can't deny that they always had a liking for making pop songs. Maarten, now headbanging wildly to Kray Twins

Ah... this explains why Gary Asquith was featured on one of tracks from WOLFGANG PRESS's "Queer" album. I could never figure out how/why they hooked up. Rema Rema! Rema Rema! HaHaHaHa!

INTERGANG. Wow, does *anyone* know anything about these two 12"s? I would really be interested in hearing this project.

Ugh. The bad outweighs the good on this disc unfortunately. If anyone wants a copy of this, I will gladly sell it for $5 (postage included in the US). E-mail me directly please.

It's funny, after asking this question (and getting that answer) I said "HEY," and checked my rekks, and sure enough, one of my old faves. I just didn't know that Karl had left RSW, that this was just a side-type project. Anyway, here's the details of the one I have: Intergang : Here Come...Intergang (OCP01) A1. The Man Without Fear B1. Say - Yeah B2. Version A1 is a acidy techno roller with digeridoo (large "Acid Didj"-style break too), and the Bsides (with Kochi B. and Marga G.) is a raggaed liquid-bass dubber with some tech and digery bits and toasting on the non-version. all four on the floor ~120bpm... eric

Um... I have a tendency to remember all the irreleavant stuff that comes my way and forget all the more important things; I can ramble on for hours about the catalogue no. prefixes from totally obscure 7" releases from 1981 that nobody likes and fail for the umpteenth time at some exam I've been sweating over for a month the following morning. Shit, I sometimes discover I can quote bits from interviews I read ten years ago, while I can't fucking remember which way some soil adsorption reaction is supposed to go, even when I practiced it to death the day before last.
