Hi, The opinions expressed in this review are my own and in no way reflect on the artist or their music... just the way I hear and interpret their music. Well The Black Dog down to just Ken unleash a varied, pot pouri of emotional music (is it just me or does anybody else thing that this release is a lot moodier than any others before?), though somewhat lacking in the complexity dept. when it comes the rhythmic programming. The Black Dog have found what the immortal J.K. Saul has been looking for, ie, "Songs with Bongo Beats". Yep, some of the songs actually sound like they have a live bongo drummer playing on them. Most of the tracks clock in at under 3 mins, but that's ok because there is 26 tracks on the cd. Highlights would have to be tracks 2,3 and 11 (i think) for me. Damn wish I had the cd in front of me, instead of at home. :) Anyhow well worth listening too and for me buying!
