Morton Subotnick, famed composer and electronic music pioneer, will be
at the MIT Media Lab on Wednesday, February 9th, and will give the Media
Lab Colloquium that day:

For this visit, Subotnick will be talking about the origins and history
of electronic music, to accompany the release of a new CD entitled Early
Modulations that features historic works by John Cage, Pierre Schaeffer,
Luc Ferrari, Iannis Xenakis, Max Mathews, Vladimir Ussachevsky, Otto
Luening, and Subotnick himself. Subotnick will reveal details behind
creating his masterpiece "Silver Apples of the Moon" as well as
demonstrate how he goes about creating his work. In addition, he will
also showcase some of his new compositions.
