Yeah , well check out Meat Beat Manifesto's "Radio Babylon", PNG is so close to this track it is almost a cover version!!!, but "Radio Babylon" predated it by a 2 years. sonic assassin@4th world records uk http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld

They don't sound that similar to me. Sure, the basslines are close, but they both owe a lot to dub.

Indeed, mix Radio Babylon and "Death of the Iconoclast" by Dead Can Dance and you've got PNG. (well, sort of =) ) My big question, however: Has anyone ever heard the Dali mix? I'm looking to confirm that it has a 303 in it. Thanks, Joe (:Joe Rice:____________:joe@psychoactive.com:____________:ambient@netcom.com:) (:"Oh, the turntables are his instruments!" :) (:"But I can't tell what sound that record is making!" :) (:"I know! yeah, they have the same bassline, but that's where the similarity ends. "papua new guinea" is a beautiful, emotional track. very colorful and pretty. "radio babylon" is a like a hard smack in the face with a big piece of plywood. i love 'em both but they are miles, nay *lightyears* apart in effect. (for the guy who was asking, the original version of Radio Babylon is only available on the "helter skelter/radio babylon" single. there are several other remixed versions on other singles but that's the only place you can get the original mix.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Drukman jsd@cyborganic.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not on any Album , but on "Version Galore" 12" (Mini-LP) has various mixes of RB, alongside Andy Weatherall remix of "Psyche - Out". Don't have my copy to hand , so can't give yer the catalouge no. details!!! Check out the MBM web site for exact information, and check the record for the Boney M sample - "Babylon"!!! BTW -"Radio Babylon" break also sampled by Prodigy on "Charly" 12" sonic assassin@4th world records uk http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld
