Hi, In a few days when my package gets here, I'll have all of Bjork's singles. Until then, I'm still missing four of the remix singles, but I might know enough to help you out. Human Behaviour: this single was kind of disappointing for me, since I was expecting more earthy tribal stuff like the original, but it turned out to be pretty much house/techno. The Speedy J and Underworld mixes are pretty good on this one. Big Time Sensuality, Violently Happy: I don't have these, but I think they're straight house/techno. The Best Mixes From The Album-Debut For All The People Who Don't Buy White Labels: This EP is probably of the most interest for the IDM-er, so I'll go through each of the titles 1 by 1. -Human Behaviour (Underworld Mix 110 BPM): Same as above. Good track, but it doesn't need to be on three releases (it's also on the Elektra release of Venus As A Boy). What goes through those people's minds? -One Day (Endorphin Mix 52.5 BPM): This is by Sabres of Paradise and is ambient/dub-ish. Sounds a bit cheesy, but it's smoothe and has a nice effect. -Come To Me (Black Dog): Awesome take on the original. The strings are brought out of the background and drawn out more, with somewhat tribal-esque percussion. Beautiful. -Come To Me (Sabres Of Paradise): Ultra-minimalist dub with robotic, distorted vocals. I don't like it. -The Anchor Song (Black Dog Mix): Stripped down vox with a trancey, continually pulsating accordian(?) sample in the background with some occasional horn and saxophone bits. Interesting, but not really to my liking. -One Day (Springs Eternal Mix 105 BPM): Another one by Sabres Of Paradise, this is heavenly ambience with unobtrusive housey beats. The vocals are new and the best comparison I can make is to when Bjork sang for 808 State on Ex:el, except this time they're atmospheric and repetitive, as well as prettier. Army Of Me: The "Masseymix" has boomy bass and breakbeats. Must be played loud to be appreciated. It's Oh So Quiet: The red CD has Hyperballad (Over The Edge Mix) by Outcast Productions, which sounded to me like Aphex Twin at first, but there's a slight difference in style. The vox are cut up enough that you can only understand some of it. Good track. Isobel: The second CD has a Goldie remix called "Isobel's Lonely Heart". Pretty good, but kinda repetitive. Hyperballad: I'm missing the remix CD of this, but I can forward you some reviews if you wish. I have the other CD, which has Cover Me (Plaid Mix), which is brilliant. Very mysterious, kind of industrial/Aphexy. Hope this helps. Any questions ask me.
