Errrm, maybe. Maybe not. The spirit folio desk (that is mentioned) is a fine, quiet, compact desk (Ok, so I've got one) - Ok so he says that his monitoring is on crap speakers etc. but that doesn't make a difference to the recorded sound (and anyway he says that he mainly mixes on headphones to avoid disturbing the neighbours!). Anyway, I just bought `Nautilus' at the weekend and it's great (as are Plug 1+2 that I bought last weekend - and the LTJ Bukem `logical progression' CD that arrived mid-week) john.. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- | e-mail: jat@ohm.york.ac.uk | | web pages start here: http://www.york.ac.uk/~jat5/ | -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- * my music: http://www.york.ac.uk/~jat5/html/music.html * *********************************************************

no wonder his music sounds so crap. mixing on headphones is one of the worst ways to mix... crap speakers will lead to crap mixes... i finally bought a bargain basement set of studio monitors last year and the difference was like night and day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Drukman jsd@cyborganic.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------

like you said before (In the one piece of dialogue you have brought to this list that I agree with) "DIE BLASPHEMER" I feel like saying this to you every time you bring up an _awesome_ artist that you always diss. I agree with you about Kraftwerk (what the fuck was g3 thinking? I'm boycotting Warp from now on....) but you always diss MuZiq, Autechre, etc. Please mail me a tape of your latest output so I can listen to it and then decide how much better you are than these artists, since you obviously think you are *that* much better. thanks _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- J A M E S B E N J A M I N G I L L U N F O R T U N A T E L Y L I V I N G I N A R I Z O N A J G I L L @ U . hey, since when does not liking an artist mean that you think you're better than them? i sure cant sing like mariah carey, and i cant rap like 2pac but....they SUCK i don't like mu ziq too much. i definitely don't like autechre. autechre is too dense and it chases it's own tail, and mu ziq is just cheesey too much of the time (save a few). this is my opinion and if you don't like it please don't make me die and go to a bad bad scary place j

Haven't released new material for a decade or so? Image? Crap vocal bits? Old material relatively unavailable? g. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Erm, it might be a difficult concept to some of you, but people can propose ideas that they don't actually agree with. Bizarre I know but it does happen! Does the world always have to be black and white? g.
