I have Muroroa and it's the farthest from hardcore! I swear man, where the hell have you people been? Try Mokum or some Rotterdam or German stuff for hardcore! There's even plenty of UK hardcore proper but Rephlex isn't it! Besides Mururoa isn't even a Rephlex release! It was just handled by Rephlex. Don't you people ever read the archives??? I *have* heard the gabber you mention but my point is that it is possible to make hard music without just doubling the BPM! The term "hard core" is a wide term and I don't necessarily connect it with 250 BPM music. It can stand for a hard style of punk too, or for hard sex.
