1. I saw a video on MTV some weeks ago, from an album called "X-MIX: Electronic storm". Is this X-MIX-6 or X-MIX-7, or something else? 2. What is the undertitle to X-MIX-6, who mixed it, and is it good? 3. Is X-MIX-7 out yet? 4. On X-MIX-3, in the John Aquaviva mix, it sounds like he is spinning one of the records backwards for a few bars while mixing, and then he changes the direction again, and the two records are still beatsynced! How is this possible -- are there really DJs who can spin the record manually at exactly the right speed? 5. Finally, I've been searching for X-MIX-1 for years and I saw it once but didn't buy it. I would pay $25 or UKP 18 + postage for it in used but acceptable condition. I watched the video again for this one. Actually, its part of the song. Daniel Smith robi@tiger.coe.missouri.edu http://tiger.coe.missouri.edu/~robi

I saw Jeff Mills do this live. It blew me away. I believe X-Mix-3 was mixed in the studio from tape.. no vinyl involved. However, there are DJs who can spin the record backwards a few beats and release it accurately enough for it to remain beatmatched. I've seen Jeff Mills do it, for example. -Sho
