There've been a few mentions of 'CCCD' by Sweet Exorcist lately, of course because of the cheapo rerelease. Another album by SE is very worthwhile too however: 'Spirit guide to low tech' (1994, Touch). It's very diverse, at times it's an acidy, jazzy, loungy etc. sort of calm techno (avoiding the word 'ambient'). Maybe this has been discussed before, but what else is this Barrett guy, with whom Kirk works here, up to? The other thing: after reading the Muzik article on Manuel Gottsching I tried to get to listen to the original 'E2-E4'. Unfortunately, the only things I could find were some Ashra (Temple) records and I sure didn't like them. Maybe someone can comment on how E2-E4 relates to these? Arjan. np: Riou-'Exhibition of the samples' PS What a set Ken Ishii played in Rotterdam last sunday!

He recently started his own abstract techno label, called Earth. They've had at least two or three releases so far.

I believe _E2-E4_ was given a re-release a few months ago, so it should be orderable...some of the NYC record shops might even have vinyl/CD copies.... - Matthew
