Hi all, A totally un-idm question now follows.... There's a well good track on the Coldcut mix cd by one Junior Reid called "One Blood". This is a ragga/jungle type thing and I love it. I've ordered a copy of the album with the same title, but some shops reckon it's deleted (in the UK). Any info? anyone? A review of said album perhaps? Perhaps J.B.Gill can help us out with this one. And while we're on the subject...

Erm, I don't know about that one matey. What I meant was that 'King of the Beats' seems to fit more in with later hardcore/D&B type stuff than it does with the album 'In Full Effect'. That's all.... Richard

before I get going here, I just wanted to say that any band with a title called "one blood" is very well idm. Actually, in my opinion, all good music with intelligent ideas behind them is considered idm to me. If you disagree, fine, because I have no argument for any refutation. It's just an opinion.

I totally agree. Although I'm not familiar with Junior Reid, I wouldn't be surprised if the cut is originally a dub track, and then the coldcut punters threw in a jungle drum line. These guys can do anything, at least that's what I think after listening to this cd.
