Was merrily watching tv last night when to my surprise and horror I found myself listening to Underworld's Pearls Girl as a jingle for the Telegraph's tory spreadsheet. Having had the Sabres of P. for the Times what next....? Scanner for The Economist????? What is going on? I may sound like some kind of elitist re: not wanting this kind of music being used for an ad, least of all right wing newspapers but I cant stand it. Sell out or lack of control by said bands (?) ? Does anyone remember the farce generated by rumours that a Pirelli tyre advert had been done by the Aphex Twin, then there was FSOL with something about football and......... on last night; J. Slazenger - Nautilus promo - Less of a racket than you might think and pretty good too!
